Slab Leak Repair Cost: Spot Repair vs. Reroute vs. Repipe
Slab leak repair cost in the Phoenix metro depends mostly on the method: a spot repair through the slab, a reroute of the line through walls or the attic, or a full repipe. This guide compares the three so you can weigh quotes.

Slab leaks are common in Valley homes built on concrete foundations. Your cost depends mostly on which repair method you choose.
The three options
- Spot repair: break through the slab at the leak, fix it, then patch the concrete and flooring. Cheapest when access is easy, but other spots on an aging line may fail later.
- Reroute: abandon the leaking line under the slab and run new pipe (often PEX) through walls or the attic. Avoids future slab digs on that run.
- Whole-home repipe: makes sense when leaks keep coming back.
Hidden costs
Leak detection, flooring and tile replacement, drywall repair and drying. Ask your insurer what's covered before work starts.
Questions to ask
- Can you quote both a spot repair and a reroute?
- Who restores flooring and drywall?
- Is there a warranty on the repair?
